The Handel and Haydn Society Search page allows you to use text to search for Composers and Compositions. These "Free Text" searches are "wild card" searches and can result in large return sets. For example placing just the letter "B" in the Composer's search box will return all performances of compositions ever performed by the Handel and Haydn Society by all composer's whose last name began with the letter "B". All Bach (and his children), Beethoven, Brahms, Berlioz, etc, etc. It is best to be a specific as possible. Likewise typing the work "symphony" in the composition text box will return all performances of every symphony ever performed by the Handel and Haydn Society.
The "Free Text" search for a composer will also ignore any composer selected in the "Select a Composer" Dropdown Listbox. Likewise a "Free Text" search will ignore all entries in the "Select a Composition" and "Select a Performance" Listboxes.
